Acriptega Tablets Introduction
Acriptega tablet contains the active substances Dolutegravir, Lamivudine, and Tenofovir disoproxil. Dolutegravir, an antiviral medicine, belongs to the integrase inhibitor family. Lamivudine and Tenofovir disoproxil are antiretroviral medicines. This medicine treats HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection in adults and children who weigh 40 kg or more. As a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI),
it works by inhibiting the HIV reverse transcriptase enzyme, which is crucial for virus replication. While taking this medicine, you may still develop infections related to HIV. Although effective anti retro viral therapy reduces the risk, you can still transmit HIV while using this medication. Contact your doctor for more information.
Avoid taking Acriptega by Mylan Pharmaceuticals if you are allergic to Dolutegravir, Lamivudine, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate, or its other ingredients. If you have pancreatitis or are at risk of developing it, use this medicine cautiously. During treatment, your doctor may periodically monitor your blood counts, bone mineral density, liver, and kidney parameters to prevent serious complications.
Notify your doctor if you have or have had lactic acidosis (excess lactic acid), pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), bone disease (osteonecrosis – the death of bone tissue), fractures, chronic hepatitis B, or kidney problems.
Inform your doctor if you plan to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant. Breastfeeding is not recommended while taking Acriptega tablet due to the potential transmission of HIV to the baby.
