Oxa 50mg Injection Description:
Oxa 50mg Injection is an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA) of the cancer cells and stops their growth and multiplication.
Oxa 50mg Injection is used in the treatment of cancer of colon and rectum.
Nausea, Fatigue, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils), Low blood platelets, Increased liver enzymes, Peripheral sensory neuropathy, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth).
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
Is Oxa highly emetogenic
Oxa is highly emetogenic, can cause hair loss, temporary infertility, diarrhea, neuropathy, cold sensitivity. Oxa is not ototoxic
Is Oxa a vesicant
Oxa is a vesicant, chemotherapeutic drug. Oxa is not an alkylating agent it is a platinum containing antineoplastic agent
How is Oxa administered?
Oxa is administered as intravenous infusion or bolus injection.
