Cofdex P Expectorant Description:
Cofdex P Expectorant is a combination of three medicines: Phenylpropanolamine, Bromhexine and Dextromethorphan. Phenylpropanolamine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.
Uses:
Cofdex P Expectorant is used in the treatment of dry cough.
Side Effects:
Nausea, Diarrhoea, Bloating, Indigestion, Headache, Dizziness, Sweating, Increased blood pressure, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Palpitations, Skin rash, Stomach upset.
Dosage:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Cofdex P Expectorant may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.
