WHAT IS TRIODAY ?
Lamivudine belongs to a class of medication called nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. It decreases the amount of virus (HIV and hepatitis) in the blood. It also increases the number of infection fighting cells in the body (CD4 cells. Tenofovir is an antiviral drug belonging to class nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). Efavirenz belongs to a class of antiretroviral medications called non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs). It inhibits the replication of HIV, thereby reducing the amount of the virus in the blood.
MEDICINE USES :
Lamivudine indicated as part of antiretroviral combination therapy for the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infected. Tenofovir is used in combination with other antiviral drugs in the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections. Efavirenz is used in combination with other medications for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.
LAMIVUDINE/TENOFOVIR/EFAVIRENZ COMMON SIDE EFFECTS :
dizziness, drowsiness, tired feeling; nausea, diarrhea; headache, depressed mood, trouble concentrating; sleep problems (insomnia), strange dreams; rash; or changes in the shape or location of body fat (especially in your arms, legs, face, neck, breasts, and waist).
Call your doctor at once if you have:
- unusual thoughts or behavior, anger, severe depression, thoughts of hurting yourself or others, hallucinations; a seizure (convulsions);
- kidney problems--increased thirst and urination, muscle pain or weakness; liver problems--nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tiredness, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools
