WHAT ARE THE USES OF XYLOCAINE 2% JELLY ?
Lidocaine gel is used for relieving pain and itching caused by anal or rectal problems.
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE-EFFECTS OF XYLOCAINE 2% JELLY ?
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; unusual hoarseness); blurred vision; chest pain; dizziness; drowsiness; irregular heartbeat; new or worsening irritation or pain; rectal bleeding; severe or persistent redness or swelling; trembling.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION OF XYLOCAINE 2% JELLY ?
- Lidocaine gel is for external use only. Do not get it in your eyes, ears, nose, or mouth.
- Do NOT use more than the recommended dose, over large areas, or for longer than recommended without checking with your doctor.
- Talk with your doctor before you use any other medicines or products in the anal or rectal area.
- PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using lidocaine gel while you are pregnant. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use lidocaine gel, check with your doctor.
