Xalipat 50mg Injection is an anti-cancer medication. It works by damaging the genetic material (DNA) of the cancer cells and stops their growth and multiplication.
Xalipat 50mg Injection is used in the treatment of cancer of colon and rectum.
Nausea, Fatigue, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils), Low blood platelets, Increased liver enzymes, Peripheral sensory neuropathy, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth).
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
Is Xalipat highly emetogenic
Xalipat is highly emetogenic, can cause hair loss, temporary infertility, diarrhea, neuropathy, cold sensitivity. Xalipat is not ototoxic
Is Xalipat a vesicant
Xalipat is a vesicant, chemotherapeutic drug. Xalipat is not an alkylating agent it is a platinum containing antineoplastic agent
How is Xalipat administered?
Xalipat is administered as intravenous infusion or bolus injection.
