Vocarb 0.3mg Tablet Description:
Vocarb 0.3mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It inhibits the intestinal enzymes that cause breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals.
Vocarb 0.3mg Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is used in addition to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Skin rash, Flatulence, Abdominal pain, Diarrhoea.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Vocarb 0.3mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Can I use Vocarb for weight loss?
No. Vocarb is not approved for weight loss. It can produce weight loss on prolonged use due to inhibition of carbohydrate digestion and delayed gastric emptying. It is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with post-prandial hyperglycemia.
Can I use Vocarb with insulin?
Yes. Vocarb can be used along with Insulin. It may potentiate the hypoglycemic effects of insulin, so the dosages of these agents may need to be changed accordingly.
