Elipran 40mg Tablet Description:
Migraine headaches are thought to result from the dilatation of blood vessels in the head. Elipran 40mg Tablet works by constricting (narrowing) these blood vessels, thereby relieving the migraine headaches.
Elipran 40mg Tablet is used in acute attack of migraine. It relieves the symptoms of migraine and prevents the attack from becoming worse.
Sleepiness, Neck pain, Dizziness, Dryness in mouth, Nausea, Sensation of heaviness, Weakness, Jaw pain, Throat pain, Paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation), Warm sensation.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Elipran 40mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
What is eletriptan Hydrobromide and how does eletriptan work?
Eletriptan belongs to the class of medications called serotonin receptor agonists. It works by narrowing the blood vessels and reducing inflammation (swelling) in the blood vessels surrounding the brain, also blocks release of certain substance, which helps in relief from headache and other symptoms
Is eletriptan a blood thinner or addictive like narcotic drugs?
No. Eletriptan belongs to the class of medications called serotonin receptor agonists which help in providing relief from migraine headache. It is not a blood thinner and is not addictive
Can I take eletriptan with ibuprofen
No drug interactions have been known with ibuprofen, tylenol, excedrin, aleve, percocet, tramadol, amoxicillin, topamax, vicodin, Cymbalta. Always consult your physician before taking any medication along with eletriptan.
