World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated annually which is held every year from 1 to 7 August. It is celebrated in more than 120 countries. World Breastfeeding Week was first celebrated in 1992 by World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action. Breastfeeding is the best way to provide infants with the nutrients they need. World health organization suggests absolute breastfeeding starting within one hour after birth until a baby is 6 months old.
